Hemingway House Weddings are special. They always relate to who is getting married there in a unique way. Becca and Leigh met in a very genuine way. Becca went with some friends to a birthday party. She met Leigh, they had dinner that night, and they have been together since that night. That is when you know you have met your soulmate. You felt that sense of family in this wedding. The common bond that brings us all together. Love. I never thought I would be much the sensitive type, but at weddings I see that side peek though. With the state of the world, some of us feel a loss in hope for humanity. I always tell people that weddings remind me that not all is lost. Two people who make a statement, a commitment to each other. To be that person you can always count on till the end. These two are living proof of that. This is why I am a Key West Wedding Photographer.
Becca was very hands on with her wedding. She and I shared a Pinterest board, and she sent me her ideas and what she was planning. I was able to have a look into her vision early on. I think it helped me to see her vision for her wedding photography. I was able to see what mattered to her, and what her style was. She went with a very vintage style wedding. That is one of the main factors for her choice of Hemingway House Weddings. It was very soft, had a lot of class, which created its own vibe. The ceremony took place early in the morning, and the light coming through the foliage there really helped create a creaminess of warm light and natural tropical greens. There were extra guests in the feline fashion, and Hemingway himself (a look-a-like) married the two. Becca said “Etsy played a big part in this wedding. It helped me get the lockets of Hemingway and the cats, the topper, and my bridesmaid gifts.” A lot of subtle accents made this a beautiful morning in Key West at the Ernest Hemingway Home, for another one of Key West’s Hemingway House Weddings.
