What is the most nerve wracking thing that can ever happen to a man? The simple motion of dropping to your knee and presenting you heart in the form of a diamond. What may sound simple can become a jumble of emotions. As a photographer this is one of the most nervous times of any booking. You pose as some form of photographer, try to blend in, and not become suspect. You wonder should you keep quiet, or afraid that talking you will slip up, ruining the surprise. What if she says no? That is one thing that I hope never happens to me as a a photographer.
This proposal was a first for me. Many times I get a call from someone looking for a photographer to capture the moment. It tends to be planned around sunset, and always in a normal location. So when I discussed this with Anthony I was ready for the challenge. The plan was to go out on a private charter with Dolphin Safari of Key West, and depart to a private island. From there everything would fall into place. This became one that was easier for me. I already have a love for the water, and its one of the places that I feel the most relaxed. So I posed as a travel photographer, whom deals with the waters of the Florida Keys and Key West.
The days leading up to the big day, were ones of confusion. The weather kept flip flopping and a few different Plan B’s were made. Who knew we would wake up to the weather that we did. 2 days of constant rain prior. The clouds parted and for the moment in the morning, it was perfect. We boarded the boat, headed west, and conditions stayed beautiful the whole way. I wont tell you the rest as that would defeat the story telling of the imagery, but this was meant to happen. The chain of events, the energy, the magic. One happy photographer right here.
