Sometimes mother nature doesn’t work with you, then sometimes she mysteriously appears. Gabriela and Jesse can tell you all about that and their Key West engagement session. Snipes Key is not a place that you jump in the car, drive to park, and just start shooting. It takes timing of the tides, the right wind and the right skies. We tried to get their engagement photos shot numerous times. We never could seem to line up all three of the elements. A few months passed by, and it was the eclipse. Snipes Key gets really low tides, and an amazing beach shows up. Mother nature seemed to say “Gabriela and Jesse it’s time for the two of you to have your engagement photos at Snipes!”
Doubled up with lower than normal tides and a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE we were greeted with exactly what we wanted. We both took our own boats, we both got wet on the way out, but that’s what makes the images speak. It’s about the journey to get there. No trip is the same. It kind of set an energy that just made you smile, and that’s apparent above. We had the island to ourselves, we got buzzed by the NAS Key West SAR team, which was rad! The light came out, everything worked, and we produced images that encompass the couple. Fun & Genuine.
For many Snipes Key is a place to go on the weekends, for others it’s a place that just makes you happy no matter the day. When you are able to experience it in conditions such as this day, alone, you get to see mother nature in all her glory. It’s a special place for me, and it’s a special place for Gabriela & Jesse.
