Sunset Key Wedding | Simone & Ryan | First Flight Key West
The Florida Keys has many wedding venues. Just about all of them have a beach, a palm tree, and water. That's what you should expect coming to a chain of islands. When you get to Key West, Florida, the southernmost key, you still haven't gone far enough. There are other islands, only accessible by boat, where magical wedding happen. That island is called Sunset Key. A private island sitting in the harbor of Key West, you take a ferry over, and then you are graced with a stillness. A peace. Tranquility. It's the type of environment that any wedding photographer would want to be a part of.
The two of them stayed at Old Town Manor, and had their first look there too. We then headed over to Truman Annex to wait for the ferry over to Sunset Key for the wedding. Upon our arrival I got a text from the planner saying there was a perfect rainbow over the Key West Harbor. We sprinted, Simone seemed to hover over the ground, to the harborside and created an image the two of them will remember for years. The ceremony was intimate, heartfelt and perfect. You could see how much these two cared for each other by listening to their words and tone. Once the ceremony was complete we boarded a Fury Key West catamaran for sunset. Local musician Chris Toler played acoustic guitar and while we cruised the harbor for cocktail hour. Afterwards we headed over to First Flight for a reception that got a bit crazy. Congrats to these two! Tell your guests thank you for bringing it on the dancefloor!
