Destination Wedding in Sorrento Italy at the Hotel Mediterraneo Rooftop

The more destination weddings I photograph, the more of the same theme is present; the couple gets to spend quality time with the people they love on their wedding day, and I get to capture every moment of that. I really can’t think of anything better.

If you’re considering a destination wedding, you might be thinking about the expense of the travel and getting everyone there, but I assure you that it is 100% worth it. It’s a shared experience that no one will ever forget.

As a photographer watching couples be able to be fully present in a special place, and capturing those moments is also an unforgettable experience. I always come back from a destination wedding changed a little bit. I see differently, I think differently. That’s what travel does for you.

At a destination wedding, you don’t have to do a damn thing like a traditional wedding. Want to get married and then take your family to see historic landmarks and sites? Go for it. Have your wedding dinner at brunch. Take your couple portraits before your wedding ceremony. There’s no right or wrong; you make the rules.

Amalfi Coast Wedding In Sorrento, Italy

I was referred to Caleb and Thais from another great couple Lauryn + David and now we talk weekly. Many of my clients become friends for life because we’ve had a shared experience that bonds us together. I’ve said it before; I’m not content to be just a vendor.

They married on the Amalfi Coast on a brilliant day, overlooking the Sorrentine Peninsula at the Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento, with 21 guests in attendance. When I think back to their day, I remember the smell of lemons, laughter, the sound of violins and the smiles on everyone’s faces. That’s the other thing about destination weddings; it’s impossible not to have a grin from ear to ear when you’re in a stunning location!

I was also lucky to work with my friend Christian from Christian Fernandez Wedding Films for the videography.  We work so well together that I always suggest him as the guy for video; his work is phenomenal. (Check out Caleb and Thais’ wedding video here)  My past clients have been super happy with his work, so we offer a package deal on photo and video; ask me about that if you are thinking about video for your wedding!

The opportunity to do a couples session in Italy was not going to be missed, so we went around Sant’ Agnello taking advantage of the amazing light, the architecture and the crazy-beautiful views. I’ve seen a lot of pretty blue ocean living in Key West, but the water there is a shade I can’t even describe.

Getting married at an amazing destination and need the same in a photographer?  I travel well with others and crave cultural experiences.  Drop me some information and lets get in touch!
