Weddings in the Florida Keys are pretty spectacular; however, Yoselyn and Gian Carlo’s day was a rare gem. Capturing the bridge, putting the finishing touches on the groom’s tie, and watching Gian Carlo tear up as she straightened her veil was a stellar intimate moment.
This couple embraced the privacy of this private island in the Florida Keys and made their day their own. We caught some quick but incredible portraits from the cabana’s grass to the rich greens of the palm trees as a backdrop.
From the moment you arrive on Little Palm Island, you are enveloped in secluded beauty. This private island offers couples a unique opportunity to spend their day together, free from the hustle and hassle of a large event. Instead of being caught up on the little details or hiccups which often accompany a traditional wedding, the Florida Beach Elopement they planned allowed them to center on each other.
The strength of their connection was evident, and I swear couples who do elopements are just more chill. Losing the big crowd just meant having more time to focus on capturing these moments as they naturally unfollowed during the easy flow of the day.
Walking along the sand jetty, the sky’s reflection on the water made it look as though they exchanged their vows in the clouds. How freaking cool is that? It was a one-of-a-kind ceremony and a truly personal moment that smoothly transitioned into some fantastic, romantic candids as the newlywed couple walked back.
There truly isn’t a wrong way to plan your wedding. However, there’s something incredibly magical about being on a secluded island with only your closest family members and hosting a wedding day that is solely about the two of you.
With the glow of the sun coming over the horizon of blue skies, Yoselyn and Gian Carlo boarded the Truman, their own private boat. We were able to create some fun portraits as they enjoyed a private tour and some champagne. That was an unforgettable little journey!
As the sun set on their amazing day, Yoselyn and Gian Carlo took advantage of the smattering of clouds and the fiery colors in the sky to have their first dance with their feet in the sand.
