When you think about getting engaged in Asheville, North Carolina, one place instantly comes to mind. Couples come from all over the North Carolina mountains to visit this historic landmark called, The Biltmore Estate.
Biltmore Estate has been providing a stunning backdrop for couples since its first opening December 24, 1895. The estate covers 8,000 acres and is split in half by the French Broad River. There are countless locations around the property to “Say Yes” as well as multiple venues to say “I DO!”
Nick contacted me about planning the perfect proposal for his girlfriend Lauren. They live in Greenville, South Carolina, which is only 1 hour away from Biltmore Estate. Nick decided to propose during the late fall, so he and Lauren were greeted with some really amazing oranges and yellows. The two of them decided to do the house tour earlier in the afternoon, and when that was over, Nick had a great plan.
The two of them left the house and headed to the Diana Lawn where he was going to propose. This area gives you a great view of the Biltmore House, and is the spot where couples get engaged the most. Nick and I formulated a plan, and it went flawless. Lauren was very surprised and of course said YES!
After he proposed on the Diana lawn, we ventured around the gardens area for a short couples engagement session. We used the perimeter of the rose garden and the azalea gardens for their engagement session. The late fall provided me with vibrant color that matched the energy of these two. We spent about an hour venturing around, then headed back to the front of the Biltmore House for sunset. Another great fall engagement session with a proposal at Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina.
