The festivities kicked off with a welcome dinner at Twisted Laurel’s upstairs event space, a local hotspot. Both Michelle and Michael prepared for their big day in spacious Airbnb’s in Asheville, providing a relaxed atmosphere to get ready.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Crest Center and Pavilion, a preferred venue perfectly positioned on Crest Mountain. Its back overlook deck yields stunning sunset views over the Blue Ridge Mountains, while its front field provides a picturesque glimpse of downtown Asheville. This venue is charmingly rustic indoors, ideal for serving culinary delights by an in-house team.
The ceremony was a touching spectacle with Michelle’s father walking her down the aisle and her brother officiating. The weather was radiant, ensuring a beautiful sunset that we used as a backdrop for many guest portraits. The reception was a whirlwind of dancing, with three solid hours of non-stop revelry in the main hall of the Crest Pavilion. This hall, with its breathtaking views and expansive space, is often the main draw for couples. Michelle and Michael ended their perfect day with a bubble send-off, a new favorite tradition, narrowly avoiding a bubble barrage from Michael’s father.
