This was precisely the case at the recent wedding I had the honor of photographing at Highland Brewing.
Asheville, known for its vibrant craft beer scene, is home to the renowned Highland Brewing. This venue added a distinctive flavor to the celebration, making it a “brewery wedding” like no other.
The day was filled with laughter, love, and, of course, exquisite local brews. The bride and groom, two souls deeply in love, couldn’t wait to say their “I do’s” in front of their closest friends and family. Their anticipation was infectious, spreading smiles all around.
As the couple exchanged vows, the air was filled with more than just their promises of eternal love. Family involvement was a significant part of the event. Everyone came together to ensure the day went smoothly, with Andrea, the bride’s sister, playing the’ family herder’ role. She played a crucial part in keeping everyone organized for the family portraits. And boy, did we have a lot of those! The couple wanted many family photos, capturing memories that would last a lifetime.
The dress code was semi-formal casual, reflecting the laid-back atmosphere of the brewery. Guests were dressed in their best, adding a touch of elegance to the rustic setting. The couple’s hashtag for the day was #hisnameismynametoo, which perfectly encapsulated their union.
The bride carried a beautiful bouquet with a unique family heirloom attached, a picture that held sentimental value. This and many candid moments were captured in the photographs, telling a story beyond words.
Unique elements like blowing bubbles as the newly married couple walked down the aisle, and a face painter in the mezzanine added a playful touch to the event. As the day turned into night, sparklers lit up the sky, marking the end of an unforgettable day.
The dances were heartwarming. These special moments brought tears and smiles to everyone’s faces.
