Wedding Venues in Downtown Asheville, North Carolina

If you love music, coffee, beer, mountain views, and have a generally adventurous spirit, then having your wedding in one of downtown Asheville wedding venues should be at the top of your list to consider.

Asheville has a vibrant arts scene, is a foodies paradise, and of course, has outdoor activities year-round to enjoy.  It’s not a big city, but it lives BIG. People who choose Asheville to get married will not be disappointed because there is literally something for everyone to enjoy.

When you choose a wedding venue, you want to choose one that reflects your personality and the activities you like to do together. Many of those venues have outdoor ceremony locations. Still, it’s also important to consider the guests coming from far and near to celebrate with you.

These Asheville wedding venues are all top-notch but have different vibes and amenities to consider. From indoor/outdoor locations to storied historic districts of Asheville, I think you’ll find one of these places a great match for you and your friends and family.

All of these venues are either in downtown Asheville or within a 20 minute drive.

This space is a perfect Asheville wedding venue if you have a smaller wedding or a micro wedding and you love the idea of being in an upscale space with outdoor access. This wedding venue located right in downtown Asheville is tucked away in an almost secret location, a real hidden gem for an event space in the middle of downtown.

Tucked between some shops, you’ll see a black metal gate, you go up a few steps, and boom, you’re transported into a quiet, elegant courtyard. You can see immediately how great it would be to spend time with closest friends and family and get married in this space. They also have a small dining room that boasts the exposed brick from the original 1930’s construction.

The courtyard is a perfect place to do family photos, portraits, or group shots. Really, no need to go off the property at all, it’s all just gorgeous, and they offer decor and floral services as well. Many times wedding couples and planners will host the rehearsal dinners here.

They have a fully customizable menu and a killer beer and wine list. Reverie is one of those venues that love a foodie; they source locally often and will help you create a custom menu to your taste.

Want To Talk About Your Wedding?

hotel arras lobby

When your wedding reception is at a Kimpton property, you know the service and amenities are going to be off-the-chain good. The Hotel Arras is no exception; this upscale boutique downtown Asheville hotel is a great place to spend a wedding weekend for you and your friends and family.

The vibe is definitely Art Deco, mixed with a clean and modern look. There are various rooms to consider for your intimate event; the main event space overlooks downtown with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina in the distance. They have an in house wedding planner, all inclusive wedding packages, a special event venue, and a main dining room for intimate gatherings.

The building’s clean lines and the surrounding art installations make it a great place for wandering with your wedding party for photos. I could spend a day taking photos in the lobby alone and hidden nooks and crannies within the building that I can see being a great place for wedding portraits!

This turn-of-the-century wedding venue is right downtown, just across from Pack Park. If you’re looking indoor venues with space that has an old-world feeling with modern amenities, then you definitely want to check this place out!

The vibe here, to me, feels almost prohibition-era. Tall vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams give it a feel like even though it’s been updated, you can imagine the swinging parties of past weddings that must have happened here!

I love the exposed brick and the wall of windows along the ballroom, and there’s plenty of room for a party; this venue seats up to 180 for dinner. We can head outside around the block for industrial, architectural-type photos and go to the park to get that outdoor-ambient feel. You really don’t have to go far to get a variety of places to shoot.

The staff is super responsive and hands-on, they have a full-service bar and they are always willing to help you with any sort of requests you have for planning, food, or anything else you can think of.  Very flexible with their clients!

If you’re looking for a more intimate venue with lots of customizations, then this venue is worth a look. It is located downtown, it boasts the most amazing views, and I have to say they are not wrong about that!

You can have your wedding outside on the balcony, with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After the ceremony, the balcony doubles as a cocktail hour location, and then on into the reception, a place for guests to mingle to get some air.

The sunsets are spectacular, and the opportunity for night portraits is a definite plus. The dramatic scene of the twinkling lights they have across the top of the trellis and the downtown lights make for some cool-looking photos!

This is a location pack a lot for the punch! You can bring in food service, which is a nice option that not many venues offer, especially in the downtown area. They also have an extensive catering list of their preferred vendors, all of whom are a great choice.

It’s crazy to me that this place is located just a mile from downtown Asheville; you’ll feel like you were whisked away to Victorian England.  This 1920’s manor is elegant and intimate and is just a gorgeous property, all with a weathered stone exterior.

They have a beautiful garden area that can seat about 100 for your ceremony and the same for the indoor ballroom for dining. If you want an outdoor wedding, add in the tented option, and you’ve got a killer garden party wedding for 200 right on site.

If the weather is an issue, you can also get married indoors in the Great Room, Study, or the Foyers, which is also a good option if you’re having a small wedding or an elopement. Photo opportunities are endless.

The AC Hotel is a downtown Asheville hotel and is part of the Marriot/Bonvoy group, known for its upscale and modern wedding trends. Their rooftop location certainly lives up to their name; it’s such a cool spot to host a wedding with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

For a rooftop area, this one is surprisingly roomy with over 2000 square space of event space. Usually, rooftop venues can only accommodate smaller, more intimate events, but the AC can hold up to 225 between the rooftop and the Ledge Lounge reception area.

The whole place looks like an art gallery meets a rooftop garden, and then, of course, you’ve got those spectacular views at sunset! This whole hotel is beautifully appointed, and there are lots of areas for photography inside and outside in downtown Asheville.

Their all-inclusive package includes almost everything you can think of, from stylish furniture on the deck to decor. And of course, since this is a Marriot property, you can talk to them about using those points you have racked up if you have them to spare!

If you love beer and killer views, Highland Brewing Company might be the perfect wedding venue on the outskirts of Asheville. It’s iron and wood, mezzanines and mountains, and has all the amenities you need to have your wedding and reception here, including a well-appointed bridal suite.

The other advantage of Highland Brewing Company is you need very little decor to make it shine. Because the owners have taken such care with the design, you can get married inside or outside, and it’s still stunning. The outdoor pavilion has sail tents to shade from the sun and is also a great place to hold your cocktail hour.

They have several different options for getting married there, from a Barrel room for smaller events to the Event Center, the main reception area. All book out quickly, so don’t delay if you have your date set.
