Robyn & John's Key West wedding at Fort Zachary Taylor

A Key West Wedding Photographer captures a beach wedding ceremony at sunset.
When I think awesome wedding, I think about a Fort Zachary Taylor wedding.  The park has some sort of mystique about it because its removed from the town.  You feel taken back as you enter the gates and immerse yourself within the area.  This was my first Fort Zachary Taylor wedding.  They decided upon having an awesome ceremony within the fortress walls which was spectacular.  It was personal, relaxing, and a great way to spend my first Fort Zachary Taylor wedding.  Now here is a little about the day and the couple.

Robyn organized a Kayaking trip for her Co-workers. Wouldn’t you know it John was invited by a mutual friend and the two of them met. That was August 15, 2014. Fast forward to 2016 and the two of them were married in Key West, at the historic Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.  Robyn and John had your normal beach wedding at Sunset, but their reception is where they took honors! They held their reception inside the actual fortress of Fort Zachary Taylor. A fort built in the mid 1800’s to defend the southern coastline of the United States, provided amazing backdrops. Cannons lining the reception area, ghostly brick lining the dance floor. Each table even had its own bottle of wine to share upon arriving at the table. Im pretty sure whatever spirits were around definitely had some fun at this one. The decor was light, and whimsical, and everything about this day just felt natural!

Congratulations to Robyn + John. A picture perfect day at Fort Zachary Taylor with not a cloud in the sky. So much fun and laughter filled the day for these two! Many wishes for the years to come.

Documentary Destination Wedding Photography

Having a Destination Wedding and are looking for a photographer to document the emotion of your day? In that case, I’d love to talk to you more about your plans. My style of photography is best suited for people who are drawn to natural and honest moments and want their day documented unobtrusively.  If that sounds like what you are looking for, let’s talk! Your wedding photos shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. A documentary approach means photos that are real and true to you and the day that unfolds. Some call it photojournalism, candid, or modern wedding photography. I am not concerned with fitting into a mold or genre, but instead, my wedding photography style is capturing the energy, emotion and love your day entails

Tell me about your favorite coffee shop, how good/bad of a chef you are, your favorite vacation and anything else that makes you unique as a couple. Nobody enjoys filling out contact forms, including me. Drop me a line. No Destination Too Far!
