Bachelorette Weekend in Key West

If you walk down Duval Street on any given weekend, you will see a group of ladies all bunched up, and galavanting down the street.  Usually in matching outfits, some classy, some off the wall.  Regardless they are all here to celebrate a bachelorette weekend. Its always entertainment, but this Key West photographer got in on the action on this one.

A few months ago I got a call from one of the members of the bridal party, and she wanted to have me do a surprise photoshoot with them when they got to Key West.  A first for this Key West photographer, but definitely a fun time!  The girls had never been to Key West before and flew into Miami.  They enjoyed the scenery of US-1 and the Overseas Highway.  The got to experience the Florida Keys Traffic firsthand, and learned why many people only make the drive if they have to.

When they got to Fort Zachary Taylor, we went straight into the session.  Using many different inspirations from Pinterest we recreated and created our own images.  Lots of laughter, but love.  The one thing I always notice about Brazillians, and especially this group, is the fun and energy they all give off.  They put the bachelorette front and center, and became the supporting cast.  A warm up for the upcoming wedding.  

Being a wedding photographer in Key West, I gave them many tips, showed them how to stand, and hopefully I will get a card from their photographer thanking me for the study session.  Ha!

A great idea by the girls, and definitely something that I hope to be a part of soon.  When a group cares about having images that show the friendship, family, and love it makes things a lot more relaxed.  I think you will have a smile on your face and sense the energy in this shoot.
