Key West Wedding At Casa Marina Resort

When I first moved to Key West in 2011, I felt disconnected and adrift. Just three short years later, thanks to newfound sobriety, I met two of the most amazing people in the world. Kathy and Jonathan, the parents of Kristin, who became fast friends and supporters of my journey. These two exuded kindness, and their positivity was infectious.

When Kristin inquired about my services for her wedding day, of course I said yes. I couldn’t wait to capture all the joy and beauty of the Florida Keys for their wedding in Key West at Casa Marina Resort.

In the year and a half leading up to the wedding we got to know each other. They shared themselves with me, opening the doors to who they really were.

Fast forward to the day of the wedding. The sun was shining, the breeze was perfect, and Kristin and Kaleb were ready to say “I do” in a Catholic ceremony at the stunning Basilica of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea. Father Baker officiated the wedding, using his dry humor to deliver a message that lingered in our hearts.

Following the ceremony, we headed to the breathtaking Flagler Ballroom at Casa Marina Resort for the reception. The setting was picture-perfect and as the sun began to set in the background, the newlyweds danced the night away with their loved ones.

As if the evening couldn’t get any better, Kristin’s father surprised everyone with a spectacular firework display over the waters of Key West! It was the ultimate grand finale to a beautiful day.

Kristin and Kaleb, it was my absolute honor to capture your special day so you can relive the magic over and over again. And for those of you who are not lucky enough to live in Key West, let my photos take you there!
