When it comes to great wedding photography locations, you can’t beat Miami. This diverse city breaks the mold of traditional venues, providing a myriad of options for contemporary wedding and engagement locations.
When I’m photographing a wedding in Miami, my desire is to create more than just average photos; I want to create art. It’s important to me to make authentic connections with my clients, because when they trust me, the result is bold, contemporary wedding photos and dynamic portraits that are not fussy or staged.
These six locations I have chosen to highlight provide many unique opportunities for fantastic wedding photos because of the attention to detail and the artistic elements introduced in the spaces.
Eclectic, upscale, and industrial, I think it’s fair to say you won’t find a venue as unique as Ace Prop Warehouse in Miami. This warehouse is a working prop house for the film and photography industry and houses thousands of vintage and contemporary props.
The event space is massive, hosting events up to 600 guests. The floors are polished cement; the walls are filled with everything from neon to post-modern funk art pieces. Ace can hold wedding ceremonies as well as receptions, and they also have several studio areas which are perfect for wedding party getting ready photos, wedding couple portraits or family photos. It’s fashionable, it’s funky, and it’s a fantastic place for wedding photography in South Florida.

A museum that combines the wonder of the cosmos with aquarium and body and mind installations, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is a Miami wedding venue your guests will not forget. If your wedding is family-friendly, small kids and teenagers alike will enjoy exploring the giant mirror mazes, the engineering labs, and the three-level aquarium
Your wedding can take place in several areas of the museum, including a living rooftop area with killer views of downtown Miami. Or in a Planetarium with the stars above you, or at the lower level of the aquarium where hammerhead sharks, native Florida fish, and devil rays float silently in an oculus lens overhead.
Move the party to the Baptist Health Gallery, and you can party the night away on their interactive LED dance floor, or rest and converse in the contemporary lounge areas. Due to the varied amount of locations, you don’t need décor for this venue; just add guests, and you’re ready for an amazing wedding experience.

One of Miami’s most stunning waterfront venues, the Perez Art Museum, is a building of striking art and form. Outside, it’s ultra-modern with tall industrial-like beans and latticed roofing, and inside, it manages to have a lush, maritime feel with planked wooden floors and white walls.
You can get married in a gallery and a garden all at once. The museum features “vertical gardens” placed all over the venue, and they are meticulously maintained and updated. The alfresco terrace is an excellent spot for cocktail hour and is large enough that wedding party photos can be taken here.
The Perez Art Museum is a great choice for couples who want an upscale and impressive wedding venue with great views of Biscayne Bay.
