What a day! Grove Park Inn weddings are a special time.  There is this mysterious energy that always starts things off intimate, but by the end of the night its a sweaty mess!

Michael and Matt threw an elegant ceremony and a sweaty dance party with the stunning backdrop of The Omni Grove Park Inn, nestled in Asheville, NC. The day was filled with emotional moments, surprise dresses, families coming together, and, most importantly, non-stop laughter.

From the guys getting ready together before their first look, it was a pleasure to watch these two be in joyous celebration all day. The subdued fall setting with the incoming cold front gave us fantastic lighting and just set a comfortable mood.

We took a short period of time to use some of the layout of the sunset terrace at Grove Park Inn for the couples photos.  Matthew proposed to Michael on one of the terraces, so we made sure to stop and create something there.

Their ceremony at Grove Park Inn’s Seely Pavilion was an intimate affair. It started with laughter as the flower boys graced the aisle to the officiant warning everyone that they had one shot to get a photo then no phones! It then moved to an emotional vow exchange and exiting to the triumphant cheers of their friends and family.

The reception space was perfect. Michael worked closely with Bobby Marks Design, and their vision was executed perfectly. The Lego cake toppers were a great personal touch, with their three dogs flanking them.

And oh, the first dance! Michael and Matt swayed to “Come What May,” which was perfect. Just watching these two and how well they match is such an honor. The YMCA Entrance Dance was a real crowd-pleaser, setting the tone for a sweaty dance party all night. DJ Mitch Fortune and Remix Weddings packed the floor with 90+ people for the entire night. 3 hours of non-stop dancing. So perfect.

They exited in a sea of streamers. That was the best way to end the night. The laughter, the fun, the couple! Thank you for letting me celebrate you, Michael and Matthew!
