When the wedding photography bug struck me I was working for a caterer, and it was actually at another local wedding photographers wedding. I saw the happiness, the fun, the celebration and I had to be a part of it. It was at a point in my life where I was looking for something positive, and it seemed the most relevant. For me, being a wedding photographer means that I get to share in the celebration, showcase it, and tell the story. If you ask my father, he will tell you I am a great storyteller, but now I do it visually and with substance.
Living in the Florida Keys and being a wedding photographer in Key West affords me the great luxury of sharing in 30+ couples a years most special day. It also allows me to be a part of my friends weddings, and be an important factor in their day. I have always put others before myself, so this is a constructive way of doing it. Your wedding photographer is going to be one of the most important factors of your day.
Kristina and Forrest are a fun loving couple who are transplants to Key West like myself. Ive known them for about a year or so, and we all go boating at the same places. Forrest and I have fished a few times together so being a part of their day meant something more to me. It takes on a whole new level of importance that they chose me as their wedding photographer.
The day started out full of laughter while everyone got ready. There were sing alongs, dog kisses, and people running into the front door. Gifts were exchanged, excitement was present, and the tone for the day was set. We did a first look in the Truman Annex area which allowed us lush backdrops. We then went bouncing around Key West to a few spots for some more couples photos before ending up at Fort Zachary Taylor for the wedding. Friends and family gathered as the two were married. They then boarded the Conch Train and headed to Kelly’s where alcohol taught them to dance!
