Key West has a host of wedding venues that you can choose from. Ocean Key Resort is one of the top picks for waterfront venues. Its nestled at the northern end of Duval Street in Key West, and faces the sunset every evening. Characters and boats litter the backdrop, which always make each Ocean Key Wedding unique.
Kelly at Just Save the Date paired me up with Emily and Pat. She did a great job matching my style to what they were looking for. A fun representation of their day, and more on the candid side. Being my first time shooting an Ocean Key wedding solo, it was the perfect opportunity to try some new things. Different angles, compositions, and lighting. I spoke to them in the months leading up to the wedding a few times and harnessed a game plan.
When the day came it was beautiful. Perfect blue sky, a nice Northwest breeze to cool things down which made for a perfect Ocean Key Wedding. 100 guests all comprised of family and friends all made the trek from Missouri to Key West to celebrate Emily and Pat’s day at Ocean Key.
The ceremony took place on the sun deck with the beautiful Key West harbor and Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect day. As they exchange their I do’s and first kiss, the Schooner Hindu snuck into the backdrop at the perfect time. Everyone cheered, the mojito’s flowed, and a night to remember kicked off!
