South Florida is a very popular destination for Weddings. You have weddings in the Florida Keys, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc. etc. You get the point. As a Florida Keys wedding photographer, I base myself in Key West. It’s a great island, that gets lots of visitors year round, which means lots of weddings. What I am getting at is that it offers me a lot of opportunity to photograph weddings outside of Key West as well. That’s how I met Sam & Charlie.
Sam & Charlie came to me by referral from a wedding I photographed last year in Key West. We connected and spoke for a bit, and I knew that I wanted to be their wedding photographer. An amazing couple, and also amazing makeup artist, we decided to meet prior to their wedding. They took advantage of my engagement photography session, which I offer all over South Florida. I drove up to Coral Gables, and photographed their engagement session at Matheson Hammock Park. I immediately noticed their fun loving personalities, which makes them so easy to be around. It allowed them to drop their guard and be themselves. This carried over to the wedding day. Full of emotion, the two of them were married at Coral Gables Community Church. A heartfelt ceremony and happy tears.
During the wedding reception at Briza on the Bay, the couple treated their guests to a Hora Loca performance by Black & Wine. South Florida has some great specialty wedding vendors, and I hope to see them again. The performance stepped the energy level to higher proportions, and the reception was full on.
